stealing his family's half of an at least $130,000 estate.

Kenneth L. Psinas, 70, was arrested early this week, accused of exerting unauthorized control of money from the Estate of Grace Psinas -- his deceased wife -- between November 1995 and August 1998.

Mr. Psinas was the executor of Mrs. Psinas' estate, giving him the job of dividing $130,000 to $165,000 between himself and about six nieces and nephews, assistant state's attorney Pamela Kleinau said.

Instead of keeping only his half, Mr. Psinas allegedly spent it all, Ms. Kleinau said.

The Mercer County Sheriff's Department is investigating the case, to find out exactly how much money was in Mrs. Psinas' estate, according to the state's attorney's office.

The defendant was released from Mercer County Jail Sept 28 on $1,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set Oct. 8.
