Announcement is made of the engagement of Beth Haverback, Annawan, and James Medema, Prophetstown. She is the daughter of Marvin and Barbara Haverback, Annawan. He is the son of George Medema, Prophetstown, and Donna Medema, Morrison.

The couple will be married in a private ceremony Nov. 29 at St. Mary of the Field Catholic Church, Hooppole. The reception is at Flemish American Club, Kewanee.

Beth graduated from Annawan High School and Illinois State University, Normal, with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is employed at Catholic Charities and the Illinois Department of Human Services.

James graduated from Prophetstown High School. He is a self-employed farmer.
