Press release submitted by Cross Point Church

Cross Point Church invites all Festival of Trees parade attendees to enjoy free hot cocoa, cookies and music immediately following the parade on Saturday, November 21st. The event will be held at the church; corner of 3rd and Brady in the Union Arcade Building in Downtown Davenport. All are welcome to come and warm up with free refreshments and a holiday concert.

Cross Point Pastor, Jim Powell, says "Cross Point Church loves the downtown community of Davenport and wants to invite everyone to share in a hot beverage and some hot music to celebrate the season."

Volunteers will begin serving refreshments directly after the parade, with cookies being provided by Hy-Vee. A holiday concert by Elysian will begin at 1pm, featuring the sounds of some of the Quad Cities' most talented musicians.

"Cross Point Church is a church for 'Everybody, Everyday,'" says Powell. "The atmosphere is casual (no ties allowed) and the teaching is relevant. We invite the Quad Cities community to come and be a part of something new."

Cross Point gathers for worship Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 10:30am on the Mezzanine level of the Union Arcade Building. More information about Cross Point can be found online at www.qccrosspoint.org.
