Five students to receive financial gift to continue their education through the Royal Neighbors of America Nation of NeighborsSM Program

(ROCK ISLAND, IL) – Royal Neighbors of America, Rock Island, IL, is hosting a special event to award $20,000 in cash gifts to five local individuals through its Nation of Neighbors Program. Media is invited to attend.

What: Nation of Neighbors Event

When: Friday, November 20 at 1:30 p.m.

Where: Trinity College of Nursing, 2122 25th Avenue, Rock Island, IL, Room 120.

Who: Five local students pursuing degrees in the healthcare field.

The Nation of Neighbors Program will have an even greater impact on the community at large by supporting the education of these five dedicated young women. With experts forecasting a significant shortage of healthcare workers by 2020, the time is now to invest in the education and future of those that will help fill this important gap.

Since the beginning of the Nation of Neighbors Program two years ago, Royal Neighbors has given over $650,000 to more than 500 individuals or families in need across the country. It is a tangible expression of neighbor-helping-neighbor, the philosophy on which the organization was founded. Hundreds of nominations have been received from members and insurance agents of Royal Neighbors.

As a non-profit fraternal organization, Royal Neighbors of America exists for the benefit of its members.
