City of Davenport holiday schedule

Press release submitted by City of Davenport HOLIDAY CLOSING -- THANKSGIVING The City of Davenport will observe Thanksgiving as a holiday. All City of Davenport offices will be closed on Thursday, November 26, and Friday, November 27, 2009. The Public Works Center will be closed both days. The Library will be closed on Thursday, November 26; it will be open on Friday, November 27. Vander Veer Conservatory will be closed on Thursday, November 26; it will be open on Friday, November 27. The Adler Theatre box office will be closed on Thursday, November 26; it will be open on Friday, November 27. Parking meters will not be enforced on Thursday and Friday, November 26 and 27. The RiverCenter parking ramp (102 East Second Street) will be charging regular hourly rates during Festival of Trees hours, except Thanksgiving Day when there will be no charge to park. At the Harrison Street ramp (202 Harrison Street) the event parking rate of $2 will be charged during the Festival of Trees Parade on Saturday, November 21, and entrance to the parking ramp will be available only from southbound Harrison; there will be no charge for parking on Thursday and Friday, November 26 and 27. There will be no charge to park at the Redstone parking ramp (101 Main Street) on Thursday and Friday, November 26 and 27. CitiBus service will not be provided on Thursday, November 26; regular CitiBus service will resume on Friday, November 27. The Compost Facility will be closed both days.. Garbage, recycling and yard waste will be picked up on schedule Monday, November 23, through Wednesday, November 25. Pickup scheduled for Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 will be one day later; Friday pickup will be on Saturday. No-sticker yard waste pickup ends Saturday, November 28.
