Quad City Jr. Flames set for playoffs
|
The Quad City Jr. Flames wrapped up the regular season with a 4-2 loss on home ice to the Chicago Hitmen on Sunday afternoon at The River's Edge. They will begin playoff action next weekend starting with a 7 p.m. faceoff against the St. Louis Jr. Blues in Affton, Mo. The best-of-3 series will continue on Saturday night at 7 p.m. followed by a 1:15 p.m. faceoff on Sunday, if necessary. The winner of that series will go on to play the winner of the best-of-3 series between Chicago and Peoria in the division finals. The winner of that series will go on to the NA3HL Championship which will be held at the Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva, Ill., March 30-April 1. The four division winners will play in a round-robin tournament with the top two teams advancing to play for the 3HL Championship on April 2. -- Staff report
