United Way of the Quad Cities Area partners with the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend to continue endowment growth

DAVENPORT, IA – The United Way of the Quad Cities Area is pleased to announce their expanding partnership with the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend, making United Way the largest Endowment Partner at the Community Foundation. The United Way of the Quad Cities Area had a portion of its endowment funds at the Community Foundation, but recently transferred all the remaining endowment.

"We are fortunate to have a good working relationship between United Way and the Community Foundation," said Scott Crane, president of the United Way of the Quad Cities Area. "This partnership continues to benefit the Quad Cities. By working with the Community Foundation on our endowment, we are able to grow it more efficiently and effectively, which will result in more money going into our community to advance Education, Income and Health."

Donors to the endowment are eligible for the Endow Iowa Tax Credit program at the Community Foundation. "Our donors will automatically have access to the 25% Endow Iowa tax credit when they give to our endowment at the Community Foundation," said Crane.

The United Way of the Quad Cities Area and the Community Foundation have enjoyed a cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship marked by very successful joint efforts including: the Community Vitality Scan and Snapshot, Achieve Quad Cities (www.achieveqc.org), and annual training for local non-profit board members.

United Way of the Quad Cities Area creates opportunities for a better life for everyone in our community by focusing on Education, Income and Health - the building blocks for a good quality of life. We recruit the people and organizations with the time, talent and expertise needed to get things done. We invite you to join us in creating a better, brighter future for the Quad Cities. Give. Advocate. Volunteer. LIVE UNITED. www.unitedwayqc.org

The Community Foundation serves as a trustee of charitable trusts, manages an active charitable gift annuity program, and assists with donor stewardship.
