Photo entries will be accepted through June 30, 2012

Contestants must be residents of Mercer County who have not reached three years of age by July 14, 2012. The photos of all babies entering the contest will be on display at Midwest Bank of Western Illinois starting July 2, 2012 through July 7, 2012. On the first day of the fair they will be on display at the Merchant's Building at the fairgrounds. The public will decide the baby boy and the baby girl winners through monetary donations. The donations will be split evenly between a charity of the parent's choice and Mercer County Fair improvement projects. Midwest Bank of Western Illinois will tabulate donations and the winners will be announced at 1:00 p.m. on July 14, 2012 at the fair shelter. Monetary donations will be accepted at Midwest Bank of Western Illinois while the baby pictures are displayed there. All voting ceases at 9 p.m. on July 14, 2012 when the Merchant's Building closes. All babies entering will receive a keepsake trophy donated by Midwest Bank of Western Illinois. The Mercer County Fair Board will award the top baby girl and top baby boy each a $50.00 savings bond. All submissions must consist of an 8x10 photo with name of child, parent's name, address, phone number, charity and charity address on the back along with a $2.00 entry fee.

Mail or drop off submissions to Midwest Bank of Western Illinois, 200 SE 13th Ave Court, PO Box 249, Aledo Illinois 61231. Photos may be picked up after the event is announced on July 14, 2012 at the fair shelter.

*Due to space, a maximum of "30" photo entries will be accepted. Any photos received after the maximum of "30" will be returned.
