Arnold "Arnie" Ward, 79, of Milan, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island.
Per his wishes, his body was cremated. Inurnment will be at a later date at Viola Cemetery.
Arnold was born on March 20, 1933, in Frazee, Minn., the son of Joseph and Ann Dulski Ward. He married Patricia Yerkey on May 23, 1958, in Aledo.
Mr. Ward had been employed as a foreman with Local 309 Laborers Union for more than 40 years. He has worked with Brandt and Valley Construction Companies.
He enjoyed playing softball, fishing and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Mr. Ward was a proud United States Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; son, Steve Ward, Milan; grandchildren, Stephanie (Mike) Bower, Amanda (Shawn) Tanner, both of Las Vegas, Nev., Heather Ward, Hudson, Wyo.; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn King, Buckland, Mo., Beverly (John) Ward, North Port, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ray Ward.
