Letter: Bustos’ Chicago ties evident in Wrigley Field fundraiser

I just read that Cheri Bustos is having a fundraiser at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Ms. Bustos is running against Bobby Schilling for representative of Illinois' 17th Congressional District. Why does Ms. Bustos have to go to Chicago to raise money? Doesn't she have any supporters in the 17th District? This fundraiser is sponsored by a Chicago Democrat. If Ms. Bustos were to be elected, would her strings be pulled by the Chicago political machine, or would she listen to the people of the 17th District? Money talks. Also, checks were to be made out to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in Washington, D.C., not Ms. Bustos. All we need is another Chicago Democrat representing the 17th District.
