HARLINGEN, Texas (AP) — Jose Canseco signed a contract Friday with the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings of the North American Baseball League and is expected to play tonight against regional rival McAllen.
The 48-year-old Canseco hit 462 home runs in 18 seasons in the majors and was the 1988 AL MVP. He later admitted using performance-enhancing drugs.
