Owners Showcasing Eclectic Variety of Items

McCausland, IA / October 1, 2012 – Peaceful River Trading Co. is hosting a gallery opening for their very own Sheila Bosworth and Kit Gleason. The event will take place Thursday, October 18th from 4pm - 7pm. "We opened this store to help feature creations from artisans all over our area, including our own. We've had so many questions on what we create, we thought it was time to showcase what we create as well," says Sheila Bosworth, Peaceful River Trading Co, co-owner. Kit and Sheila's featured artwork and crafts will include tile signs, glass etching, hand dyed scarves, decorated sleds, custom designed flip flops, koozies, t-shirts even floral arrangements.

....

Owner, Sheila Bosworth believes that "Peaceful River Trading Co. creates a prefect opportunity to blend art, crafts, antiques, outdoor items, gifts, decorator pieces, and consignment into a permanent space." Peaceful River Trading Co. offers a place for local artists and crafters to display and sell their creations. Throughout the year the gallery will promote local artists and their work.

Kit Gleason, co-owner of Peaceful River Trading Co., is ecstatic about the addition of the heat press transfer to their shop. "It allows customers to personalize so many things, from t-shirts to mouse pads. We are excited to showcase some of our creations in the gallery opening this month."

Peaceful River brings visitors back to a simpler time and is housed in a beautiful, circa-1916 bank building, formerly the home of McCausland State Bank. They carry many items from arts and crafts to antiques, gifts, and collectibles. Peaceful River Trading Co. is open from 10am to 5pm Wednesday through Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sundays.
