Proud to support hog farmers and raise pork awareness with "Celebrate Pork" video

October is National Pork Month - enjoy a fun, amusing video

There are two types of people in this world – those that love bacon and those that don't admit that they love bacon! The Machine Shed Restaurant honors the American Farmer and during October for National Pork Month, we give tribute to Hog Farmers and create awareness for Pork and the ever popular 'Bacon' (which is a delicious strip of juicy pork heaven) with its own "Celebrate Pork" auto-tuned video, click here for video: www.machineshed.com

It's National Pork Month and the Machine Shed restaurant staff, in conjunction with the Iowa Pork Producers, have created a whimsical and catchy video to celebrate pork, with the lead role going to Bacon! Pork has been a staple on the Machine Shed menu since its opening, selling over 300,000 pounds of pork every year. "The idea started a few weeks ago with a suggestion of 'wouldn't it be great if we could auto-tune a song about bacon and make a video!'" Says Stacy Christoffersen, Brand Manager for the Machine Shed. The Machine Shed contacted the Iowa Pork Producers who supported the project 100%. "Every year we've always promoted Pork Month with features and contests, but this year we thought out-of-the box and with the success of Auto-tuning, we came up with a great idea and the staff was excited to be a part of it, even the chef said "Sign me up!" states Christoffersen. To help the video be more vibrant, the use of auto-tuning was used and is a current Internet and YouTube trend. "The goal of the "Celebrate Pork" video is to raise awareness of pork and honor the Hog farmers with their dedication to provide pork to the world in an entertaining way using a social media platform" concludes Christoffersen.
