Machine breakdown slows newspaper deliveries

A machine breakdown early Tuesday in the packaging center of The Dispatch/The Rock Island Argus caused delayed deliveries to several dozen carrier routes, resulting in late or nondelivery of Tuesday's newspapers to a number of customers. "I apologize for the inconvenience caused for our carriers and customers," said Gerald J. Taylor, publisher. "Some customers will receive their Tuesday edition with Wednesday's delivery." Meanwhile, digital subscribers may view a PDF of the print version of the papers at QCOnline.com.
