QCMUG to meet Dec. 18

Press release submitted by Susan Berger The QCMUG (Quad Cities Macintosh Users Group) meets the third Tuesday of every month, at the Bettendorf Public Library at 2950 Learning Campus Drive. The group will next meet on December 18, 2012, in the Norm Kelinson Room (2nd floor) of the Bettendorf Public Library from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. At each meeting there is a special program/presentation on Macintosh Applications or hardware, and an "Open Forum" question and answer period where members help other Macintosh users solve problems and improve their computer skills. Guests are always welcome. Family memberships are only $24 for the year. Visit the QCMUG website for more information: http://www.qcmug.org. The December meeting will be: The Christmas party and White Elephant gift exchange. Members are asked to bring finger food treats; officers will supply beverages, cups, and small plates.

1988 -- 25 years ago: Pee Wee teams will be able to play baseball and softball as usualon Diamond Three at Dorrance Park this summer, but after that, the ball field is doomed.County crews have put the diamond back in shape after heavy trucks marred the playingfield earlier this spring. Illinois Department of Transportation crews drove onto it to makeborings for the relocation of the junction of Illinois 84 and the Port Byron-Hillsdale road.
