New RI art store QC Collective to have ribbon-cutting Friday

A ribbon-cutting will be held at 4 p.m. Friday for QC Collective, the first tenant in The Shoppes on 2nd, 1700 2nd Ave., Suite 3, Rock Island. After the ribbon-cutting, there will be live artist demonstrations and light refreshments. QC Collective, owned by Sarah Ford and Andrew Skadberg, showcases retail items from more than 55 local and regional artists, including handmade products, artwork and gifts. Store hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
