Operations Manager Sheri Saskowski hopes to bring a diverse food and beverage selection in close proximity to public that works and visits the Rock Island Arsenal. "Our goal is to eventually feature local produce and other products, but to still keep true to the Starbucks model. The Starbucks brand offers great quality and we are excited about bringing it to the Arsenal." Owners Gail and Galen Starkweather also feel that the new café will be a great asset to the Island and has created new jobs for the local economy. The company plans to unveil their "deliver2yourdesk.com" web site soon, which will allow Arsenal employees to order beverages, breakfast and lunch items online and have them delivered directly to their work space.
Sheridan's Hospitality Management, a division of Hasty Tasty Food Service, Inc., has been the food and beverage contractor on the Rock Island Arsenal since February of 2006. Sheridan's is locally owned and operated by the fourth generation of the Hasty Tasty Food Service, which was originally founded in Moline, Illinois in 1937.
