QCMUG to meet Jan. 15

The QCMUG (Quad Cities Macintosh Users Group) meets the third Tuesday of every month, at the Bettendorf Public Library at 2950 Learning Campus Drive.

The group will next meet on January 15, 2013, in the Norm Kelinson Room (2nd floor) of the Bettendorf Public Library from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. At each meeting there is a special program/presentation on Macintosh Applications or hardware, and an "Open Forum" question and answer period where members help other Macintosh users solve problems and improve their computer skills.

1964 — 50 years ago: Two awards of the National Safety council were presented to the city of Rock Island today at noon at a meeting held in the YWCA.
1989 — 25 years ago: The final tallies are not yet in for the summer 1989 Quad-Cities tourism season, but officials are expecting the number of visitors to the area to be at least as good as, if not better than, 1988.
