** Putnam Museum Opens Bodies Revealed in March
The Putnam Museum, 1717 W. 12th Street in Davenport, Iowa, opens Bodies Revealed on Mar. 9 that is a unique opportunity to SEE the impact of our lifestyle choices. The exhibition takes visitors through galleries providing an up-close look inside the skeletal, muscular, reproductive, respiratory, circulatory and other systems of the human body. ** Art Museum Exhibit Showcases Historic Maps
The Figge Art Museum, 225 W. 2nd Street in downtown Davenport, Iowa, opens a new exhibit on Mar. 3 that shows historic maps that show early representations of the world to detailed maps of America's interior west of the Mississippi. 1888 -- 125 years ago: All Rock Island retail houses, with the exception of a clothingstore and a jewelry store, have agreed to early closing hours during the summer months.The store will be closed at 8 p.m.

1988 -- 25 years ago: East Moline's June Jamboree VI -- Nostalgia Days, will seemlike a '60s revival with the appearance of stars like Bobby Vee, Freddie Cannon, PeterNoone, Turtles, The Grass Roots and Lou Christie. This year's festival has beenexpanded to five days, June 22-26, at the Northeast Park complex.
