Gregory J. "Greg" Saskowski, 50, of Peoria, Ill., died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Trinity Moline.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport. Burial is at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to services at the funeral home.
He was born Dec. 10, 1962, to Robert N. and Eleanor M. Szalko Saskowski.
Surviving are his parents, Robert and Alexis Saskowski, Bettendorf; sister, Mary Jackson, Clive, Iowa; brother, Randy Saskowski, Geneseo.

1989 — 25 years ago: Special Olympics competitors were triple winners at Rock Island High School Saturday. The participants vanquished the rain that fell during the competition, and some won their events; but most important, they triumphed over their own disabilities.
