Jerry L. Shepard, 62, of Bettendorf, died on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Trinity Bettendorf.
Per his wishes, there will be no services. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jerry was born on April 8, 1950, in Iowa City. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his sons, Eric Beinke, Durant, and Travis Shepard, Davenport; three grandchildren; and good friend, Tony Goldsberry, Bettendorf.

1989 -- 25 years ago: Officials predict Monday's Rock Island Labor Parade will be the biggest and best ever. Last minute work continues on floats and costumes for the parade, which steps off a 9:30 a.m.
