The Rock Island High School girls' basketball team ran through the Western Big 6 Conference season to an undefeated league title. But the Rocks were hardly dominant when it came to the all-conference team that was announced this week.

The Rocks (25-4, 10-0 Big 6) had just two players -- senior Shavonne Brewer and sophomore Mercedes Jackson -- selected to the eight-player all-league team.

League runner-up United Township and Alleman each had two players selected by the league coaches. The UT Panthers picked for the squad were seniors Katie Daggett and Jen VanWatermeulen. Senior Anne Bohnert and junior Erin Morrisey were the Alleman Pioneers named to the team.

Moline's lone representative was senior Morgan Gerard and Galesburg also had just one selection -- senior Jessica Lieber.
