John and Evelyn Sproston Anniversary
They were married in rural Aledo at the home of the groom's parents on Feb. 21, 1953. Their marriage has been blessed by four sons, Kenneth (Maria), Ronald (Starla), Douglas (Shawn), all of Aledo; and Daniel (Lois), Seaton. They have 17 grandchildren (one deceased); and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Sproston retired from John Deere in 1991 and Mrs. Sproston retired from the Mercer County Courthouse. They are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Aledo.

1988 -- 25 years ago: William G. Lawrence, first administrative director, has retired fromPECO Enterprises, Inc. Prior to his service at PECO, Mr. Lawrence was the civilianpersonnel officer at the Rock Island Arsenal.
