Wanda L. Frost Trousdale, 93, of Catonsville, Md., formerly of Kewanee, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore, Md.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22 at Rock Island National Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Dale Dystra will officiate. Rux Funeral Home, Kewanee, is handling arrangements.
She was born Nov. 29, 1919, and was the beloved wife of the late William D. Trousdale; loving mother of William N. (wife, Martha) Trousdale and the late Robert D. Trousdale; cherished grandmother of William F. and Kevin J. Trousdale; devoted great-grandmother of five great-grandchildren.

1964 -- 50 years ago: Two of Rock Island's newest water towers were vandalized last night, including the one at 38th Street and 31st Avenue, where police took five Moline boys into custody about 9 p.m..
1989 -- 25 years ago: Some of us who live in the Quad-Cities take the Mississippi River for granted, or at least we used to. But the river is not taken for granted by our visitors. And most Quad-Citians are realizing the importance of the river to this area as increased emphasis is placed on tourism.
