Rock Island is seeking its 19th sectional title and third in the last five years. Under Thom Sigel, the Rocks are 2-2 in sectional title games. ... These two teams have never met in the postseason and do not have a common opponent. ... In 25 years at the school, Edwardsville coach Mike Waldo has more than 500 wins and four sectional championships. ... Edwardsville's starters score 90 percent of its points. ...
