Your pet shares love and companionship with you, so wouldn't it be fitting to share your pet's story with the world?

Or at least with the readers of The Dispatch, The Rock Island Argus and QCOnline.com.

We want to hear about what makes your pampered pet so perfect in your eyes. Consider it your chance to grab a few minutes of fame for your furry, feathered or scaly friend. And remember: Fame means having a face that's in the spotlight, so be sure to include a photo of that perfect pet!

To help you get started, we'll offer a list of questions. Answer as many as you like. Send us those answers -- or your pet's answers, if he/she prefers an interview in first-person (er ... first-animal) -- along with a photo.

Area pets' tales -- and tails! -- are featured on the Your Pets page in the Sunday Dispatch/Argus, the Neighbors page in the Monday papers, and on QCOnline.com.

Email your submissions to features@qconline.com, and attach a photo in JPEG form. Or, send a story and photo via regular mail to Creature Feature, Features Department, The Dispatch/Argus, 1720 5th Ave., Moline, IL 61265.

1989 -- 25 years ago: When the new Moline High School was built in 1958, along with it were plans to construct a football field in the bowl near 34th Street on the campus.
