Press release submitted by Bi-State Regional Commission

RE: Region 9 Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2014 - 2017 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
Preparations to develop the Region 9 FFY 2014 - 2017 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) are underway. The TIP document is utilized to transition projects from planning and design to construction and implementation. Revenue and cost estimates for projects included in the TIP must use an inflation rate to reflect "year of expenditure" (YOE) dollars.
Enclosed you will find a copy of the FFY 2014, FFY 2015, and FFY 2016 Annual Elements from the current Region 9 TIP. Please review the Annual Elements carefully. Mark any changes, additions, or deletions for your jurisdiction directly on the provided pages. List projects scheduled or anticipated for FFY 2017 on the included blank Annual Element pages.
It is important to list all transportation projects programmed to receive federal and/or state transportation funding, including discretionary earmarks. Earmarks should be listed in the FFY Annual Element in which they are to be let. An estimated project bid letting date is required for all FFY 2014 projects. Please include the approximate bid letting date in the description of the FFY 2014 project. For transit buses and/or vans, please indicate whether the vehicle is ADA accessible and include in your description the vehicle number(s), size, and type.
Lastly, I have enclosed a copy of the FFY 2013 Annual Element. Please write directly on the page to indicate the status of your FFY 2013 projects. Use the following project status terms: complete, underway, moved to FFY (specify year) Annual Element, or removed from TIP.
I am requesting the TIP Annual Element updates be submitted to Gena McCullough no later than Friday, April 26, 2013. The updates can be faxed to 309-793-6305, scanned and
e-mailed, or sent via regular mail. Should you have any questions or comments, or if you would prefer an electronic copy of the Annual Elements, please contact Gena McCullough at (309) 793-6302, extension 146 or e-mail gmccullough@bistateonline.org.
