Man killed in motorcycle crash identified

MOUNT VERNON, Ill. (AP) Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash over the weekend.

The (Carbondale) Southern says that Jefferson County Coroner Eddie Joe Marks identified the man as 43-year-old Michael A. Jordan of O'Fallon.

Marks says that Jordan was driving on Saturday afternoon when he hit a 'rough spot' on Interstate 57 and lost control of his motorcycle. Both he and a passenger were thrown from the motorcycle. Marks says the passenger suffered serious injuries.
