The Scott County Historical Society invites the public to attend our Annual Ice Cream Social on Tuesday July 16th, 2013 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Society's home, Historic Summit Church, on Utica Ridge Road, 3.6 miles North of 53rd Street, in rural Davenport.

For years, the members of Summit Church celebrated the time between the spring planting and the fall harvest seasons to gather together and socialize. The Scott County Historical Society continues the tradition of holding this annual rite of summer of our farm ancestors by providing delicious homemade desserts, cool ice cream, and fellowship on a summer evening.

So join us for yummy homemade desserts with a generous helping of ice cream. For those who do not want to cook, we will also be offering Sloppy Joe sandwiches and Hot Dogs for an nominal charge. All meals and desserts are available for carryout. We will also have picnic tables outside for those who want to enjoy the summer evening.

Prices for dessert, ice cream and drink is $4.00 FOR ADULTS and $2.00 for CHILDREN UNDER 12. KIDS UNDER 5 ARE FREE.

For just $2.00 more, you can add a meal of a Sloppy Joe and chips. Or if you prefer, just $1.00 for a hot dog and chips.
There is also a "Desserts Only" special for just $1.00.

For families, there is a MAXIMUM Family Price of just $20.00!!

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT HELP THE SOCIETY TO MAINTAIN OUR LANDMARK – HISTORIC SUMMIT CHURCH.
