ALEDO - Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Chad Koppie will speak at 7 p.m., this evening at the Mercer County Republican Party office on Illinois 17 in Aledo.
Mr. Koppie, from Gilberts, is a U.S. Army veteran and a farmer. The event is free and open to the public. Mr Koppie seeking the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate to challenge Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Il., in 2014. A second Republican, Doug Truax, also is seeking the nomination.
