Dr. Michael Wiant, director of the Illinois State Museum at Dickson Mounds, will present the program, "The Roots of Gardening: How Plant Cultivation Changed Native American Culture and the World," 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Singing Bird Nature Center, 15th Street and 44 1/2 Ave., Black Hawk State Historic Site, Rock Island.
The presentation is free and is hosted by the Quad Cities Archaeological Society.
