Edith LaVonne "Edie" Collins, 87, of Bettendorf, died Feb. 20, 2014, at Iowa Masonic Health Facility.
Services are 4 p.m. Sunday, March 2, at Weerts, Davenport, with visitation 2 p.m. to services. Cremation was accorded. Inurnment is at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Marshalltown, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, C.R. "Dick" Collins; children, Carol Collins, Minneapolis, Minn., James, Sammamish, Wash., and Pamela Snyder, Bettendorf; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

1989 -- 25 years ago: An avenue of lights, 13 Christmas trees strung with more than 44,000 sparkling lights, will expand the Festival of Trees beyond the walls of RiverCenter in downtown Davenport in mid-November.
