Bob and Donna Hamrick, Coal Valley, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The former Donna Knight and Bob Hamrick were married on Feb. 28, 1964, at First Baptist Church, East Moline.
Mr. Hamrick worked for 38 years for Case/IH Company. He was human resource manager at multiple plants, retiring from the East Moline plant in 2004. Mrs. Hamrick taught elementary physical education and music at schools in Silvis, Wichita, Biggsville and East Moline. She retired from Wells Elementary, East Moline, in 2004.
They are the proud parents of Scott Hamrick, Milan; and Michele (Ed) McCann, Cedar Falls, Iowa. They have two wonderful grandchildren, Madison and Cade McCann, Cedar Falls.
Both are very active members of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, and especially enjoy volunteering their time and talents in the music and children's ministries.
They plan to celebrate their anniversary with a family vacation in June to Vail, Colo., a favorite vacation destination for the entire family.
Bob and Donna are very blessed to be able to enjoy their grandchildren's activities, as well as golfing, traveling and staying active. They spend their winter months at their home in Arizona and will return to their Coal Valley home in April.
