Lindauer, High Point fall in Big South quarterfinals

CONWAY, S.C. -- The High Point men's basketball team suffered a 62-60 loss to Winthrop in the Big South Conference Tournament semifinals on Friday afternoon. The loss snapped the Panthers' six-game winning streak.

High Point freshman guard and 2012 Moline graduate Anthony Lindauer started and played six minutes. Lindauer missed his only shot attempt.

Despite the loss, High Point is guaranteed a berth in the National Invitation Tournament. The Panthers got the automatic bid after winning the Big South regular-season title.
