Braves advance to Region IV finals

KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Black Hawk Braves advanced to Region IV finals after a 8-2 win against Lake County on Tuesday in the baseball sectional championship. The game was a completion from a suspended one on Sunday.

Rock Island product Brinn Bell had four hits, including a home run and a double for the Braves. Black Hawk's John Boidanis hit a home run and drove in two runs, and United Township graduate John Dokolas picked up the win on the mound.

Black Hawk will face Kankakee in the Region IV Finals on Friday at 3 p.m. at Boomer Stadium in Schaumburg.
