Richard A. Bailey, 87, of Knoxville, formerly of Alexis, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at Heartland Health Care, Galesburg.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Hoover-Hall, Alexis. Burial is in Alexis Cemetery. Visitation is from noon to services.
He was born Nov. 21, 1926, in Alexis, to Charles Sr. and Allie Bailey. He married Joan Anderson in Galesburg in 1957. She died in 1996.
He owned and operated a service station in Alexis. After selling the station he owned and operated Standard Oil Bulk Truck.
Survivors are daughters, Deborah Sugai, Galesburg, and Pan Powell, Auburn, Ill.; son, Richard Jr., Galesburg; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
