Moline soccer enters state rankings

Fresh off a 7-0 start this season, the Moline boys' soccer team entered the TopDrawerSoccer.com state rankings this week. The Maroons are ranked eighth in the latest poll, which was released on Tuesday morning.

Moline is one of two Western Big 6 Conference teams in the poll, with Quincy (3-0) climbing up three spots to No. 6. Those two meet on Sept. 23 in Quincy.

St. Charles East is No. 1 and reigning Class 3A state champion Edwardsville is No. 2. Edwardsville, Moline and Quincy could all be in the same sectional bracket this season.
