Comment on this story

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges are inviting students and families to visit day at Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community colleges from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, at each campus.

Participants will have the opportunity to tour the colleges and learn about financial-aid options, programming, clubs and activities, and have all questions about starting college answered, according to a news release.

The event is open to current high-school students and their parents, as well as individuals who have been out of school for a number of years and are considering starting college classes for the first time, the release states.

Each college offers a college transfer program for students interested in completing a bachelor's degree and beyond, and more than 50 career programs for those who want to enter directly into the job market.
