Bandits turn focus to the military tonight

Comment on this story

When the Quad Cities River Bandits open their homestand tonight against the Cedar Rapids Kernels, it will be a special night at Modern Woodmen Park.

The Bandits will be celebrating AUSA Military Appreciation Night. That means that anyone who picked up vouchers on Arsenal Island this week will get into the game free. Also, anyone who did not grab a voucher can still take advantage of free admission by showing either an active military card or civilian employee card at the box office.

There will be plenty going on at the park tonight, beginning with a 6:30 p.m. pregame ceremony focused on the local military initiatives. During the game that starts at 7 p.m., there will be $2 drink specials. There will also be a post-game fireworks show.
