2 arrested near Keithsburg on meth charges

KEITHSBURG — A Keithsburg woman was one of two people arrested near Keithsburg on methamphetamine-related charges.

Andrea Denise Morris, 42, and Daniel J. Reffitt, 23, of Missouri, were arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted manufacture of methamphetamine,

a class 2 felony, punishable by three to seven years in prison.

According to the Mercer County Sheriff's Department, deputies identified materials as part of a methamphetamine manufacturing laboratory.

Bond was set for each at $50,000. Deputies were assisted by the Illinois State Police Response Team. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for both at 11:20 a.m. on June 18.
