Local hard-rock band Eleven Fifty Two will open for Warrant, Winger and Firehouse tonight at the i wireless Center.

The four-man band secured the gig when it won the final round of the 97xposure Battle of the Bands Contest held Thursday night at Rascals Live in Moline. Other finalists were Motorbiscuit and Three Years Hollow.

According to a press release, the bands were judged on style, originality, overall sound, stage presence and crowd reaction. The release states that Eleven Fifty Two's emotional vocals, hard-hitting drums and heavy guitars brought down the house Thursday night.

Eleven Fifty Two will take the stage at 6:40 tonight at the i wireless Center, 1201 River Drive, Moline. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

According to the release, more than 25,000 online votes were cast in the contest sponsored by WXLP-FM (97X).

Tickets start at $22.50 and are available at the i wireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, and online at Ticketmaster.com.

Members of Eleven Fifty Two are Dustin Smith, Erik Flores, Mike Freburg and Steve Sparks. For more information about the band, visit its Facebook page at facebook.com/ElevenFiftyTwo.
