Rock Island will be featured at the upcoming International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Conference to be held October 7-12, 2012 in Phoenix, AZ. A video featuring Rock Island's public-private partnerships will be showcased during the conference.

Rock Island's public-private partnerships have successfully leveraged millions of dollars in improvements in the community. The City of Rock Island works with the non-profit organization Renaissance Rock Island, and others, on numerous developments, garnering community and business support, and ultimately focused on making Rock Island a better place to live, work, and play. Areas that are highlighted include Downtown, New Old Chicago Neighborhood, and the I-280 / IL-92 corridor development area.

Thomas Thomas, City Manager will be attending the conference and commented, " I am pleased to showcase Rock Island to my peers as well as potential developers while at the ICMA conference. This video showcases our recent developments and highlights the successes we have had, especially through our public-private partnerships."
