East Moline's aldermen on Monday voted to approve a proposal to sell part of the East Moline Industrial Park and to approve a proposal for a sewer sealing project.
The property sale was to J. Sean Letts for $48,000. The vote was unanimous.
The sewer project, and the $102,450 bid from Hoerr Construction Inc. to carry out the work ,was unanimously approved by the council. The work involves inserting material into old pipes to reseal them if they are wearing out, said Tim Kammler, city director of engineering.
East Moline budgeted about $148,000 for the project and will use the money left over to get more done on the project, city administrator Cole O'Donnell and Mr. Kammler said.
Aldermen also had a closed session to discuss personnel matters, but no action was taken afterward.
The next council meeting is scheduled for Oct. 15.
