Announcing River Action's Walking Guide – Third Edition
Walking is a wonderful way to explore the Quad Cities, its neighborhoods, have fun, relax, and spend quality time by yourself or with those you enjoy. River Action invites Quad Citians and out of town visitors to experience the simple pleasures and significant benefits of walking with the third edition of the RiverWay Walking Guide.
River Action's Walking Guide is designed to make walking area trails easier to experience. Take your pick from thirty-six different walks connected to and along the RiverWay in Iowa and Illinois that showcase regional trails, parks, wildlife areas and urban settings. The guide highlights trails such as Ben Butterworth Parkway in Moline and the Great River Trail upriver in East Moline, Hampton and Port Byron, Illinois and the Mississippi River and Duck Creek Trails in Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa. Users will find information on parking, playgrounds, RiverWay art and connections to downtowns and community amenities.
The guide is designed to take on your walk, fitting easily into your pocket, purse, or glove compartment. It also includes a Walking Guide Quiz, created by sponsor Butler Insurance Service, Inc. The answers may surprise you!
