Northwest Plumbing Heating and AC to give away $3,350 furnace in "I hate my furnace" contest

Contest gives residents in Scott and Rock Island counties a chance to win a high-efficiency furnace valued at $3,350

DAVENPORT, Iowa (Oct. 8, 2012) – Northwest Plumbing Heating and AC, the residential division of one of the largest and most trusted mechanical contractors in the Quad City area, today launched its second annual "I hate my furnace" contest.

The contest gives residents of Scott and Rock Island counties a chance to win a brand-new, high-efficiency York furnace and standard installation valued at up $3,350.

This is the third time Northwest Plumbing Heating and AC has conducted a contest for a home heating and cooling appliance. Earlier this year, the company awarded Gordon Coon from Davenport a water heater and standard installation valued at $900. In 2011, Kristy and Mark Saathoff from Hampton, Illinois received a high-efficiency furnace valued at $3,350.

"Having to rely on an old and outdated furnace can be stressful and can cause lots of discomfort," said Bill Durand, general manager of Northwest Plumbing Heating and AC. "That's why we're very excited to be offering this prize to Quad City residents."

To enter, visit www.northwestmech.com and upload a picture of your existing furnace by Sunday, Nov. 11. Northwest Plumbing Heating and AC will choose the worst furnace and announce the winner during the week of Thanksgiving. In addition to the grand prize winner, all other entrants will receive a $100 gift certificate towards a new furnace installation.
