IL/IA QUAD CITIES – To celebrate the glory that is the mustache and raise money for the Child Abuse Council, kick-off parties are being held in connection with KJ's Mustache Challenge.
The Mustache Challenge is a local event where participants resist shaving from Thanksgiving until December 22, collecting donations along the way, culminating with The Mustache Challenge's Pub Crawl on December 22.
The kick-off parties are being held on Thursday, October 11, at The Landing, Moline, and October 18 at Pints, Davenport, starting at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited.
All donations will benefit the Child Abuse Council's "Talking About Touching" program, which teaches young children about appropriate and inappropriate touch and what to do if inappropriate touching takes place.
Pledge sheet pick-up and donations are welcome and encouraged at the kick-off parties, or online at www.kjmustachechallenge.org, or www.childabuseqc.org.
