Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging presents Understanding Medicare: A Free Informational Session

Rock Island - Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging is sponsoring a free educational presentation on understanding Medicare and the recent cuts and changes to the program. Richard Schillig of RJS and Associates and featured speaker on WOC 1420's "SAFE Money" talk show, will provide information on Medicare reform and will answer questions. The presentation is designed for senior citizens, caregivers, and any others who are interested.

The Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging is a non-profit corporation created for the purpose of improving the quality of life for older Americans. The specific objectives of the agency are threefold: to enable older adults to live in their own homes as long as possible with appropriate supportive services; to remove individual and social barriers to economic and personal independence for older persons including the provision of opportunities for employment and volunteer activities; and to act as an advocate for older persons in developing community resources for the aged throughout the ten county area while providing a comprehensive service network. Counties included in the agency's jurisdiction are Bureau, Henderson, Henry, Knox, LaSalle, McDonough, Mercer, Putnam, Rock Island, and Warren. E.O.E.
