If you missed the local production of the Tony Award-winning musical "Avenue Q" during its nearly sold-out three-weekend run in October, Rock Island's District Theatre is bringing back the show in March 2013. The 2003-04 Tony winner for Best Musical will open again March 15. It will be among eight musicals and three plays to be staged in the District's fifth-anniversary season. The season also will include what looks to become an annual holiday staging of a new musical version of the Charles Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol." Written by District Theatre artistic director Tristan Tapscott and frequent music director Danny White, the show will make its debut Dec. 13-22. The full lineup for 2013 will be: -- "Rent" -- "Avenue Q" -- "Hair" -- "Doubt" -- "Little Shop of Horrors" -- "Ragtime" -- "Reasons to Be Pretty" -- "Young Frankenstein" -- "The Rocky Horror Show" -- "The Tempest" -- "A Christmas Carol" For more information, visit districttheatre.com.
