Carolyn M. Ward, 73, of Woodhull, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at her home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home, Woodhull. Burial is at Alpha Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where a memorial fund will be established. Online condolences can be made at www.petersonwallinknox.com.
She was born March 7, 1939, in Kewanee, a daughter of Marvin and Beatrice Hand Good. She graduated from Cambridge High School. She married Donald E. Ward Oct. 27, 1957, in the State Road Church near Cambridge.
Carolyn was a homemaker and was employed at various times as a nurse's aide at area nursing homes and at Cottage Hospital, retiring in 1974.
She enjoyed cooking, baking and especially being with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; two daughters, Bethany (Tom) Anderson, Woodhull, and Pamela (Kevin) Goreth, East Peoria, Ill.; two sons, Mark (Nazera) Ward, Woodhull, Rick (Kelli) Ward, Alpha; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Jo Finin, Kewanee, Debra Barham, Osco; two brothers, Marvin and Larry Good, both of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Rusty; a sister; and a great-grandson.
