4 join American Bank board

American Bank and Trust Company has added four new members to its nine-member board. They are Rakesh Alla, Matthew Stern, JohnTimmer and Vernon Wegerer.
Mr. Alla is chief operating officer forthe Quad Cities Kidney Center Ltd. Heearned a bachelor of arts in economicsand finance from Washington University in St. Louis and a masters of business administration degree in corporate strategy and marketing from the University of Michigan BusinessSchool in Ann Arbor, Mich..
Mr. Stern is president and chief financial officer of SternBeverage Inc. in Milan and is involved in the recently opened Stern Center in Rock Island. He graduated from Rock Island HighSchool and has a bachelor of arts in finance from the University of Illinois and master's degrees in business administration and finance from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
Mr. Timmer a certified public accountant and financial planner, is president of Timmer and Associates, CPA, PC, with offices in Rock Island and Davenport. He is a graduate of RockIsland High School and has a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Mr. Wegerer, who previously was on the bank board for 20 years, is a founding member of KJWW Engineering Consultants. He has a bachelor of science in electrical engineering fromKansas State University.
